Along with the redesign of our Document Vault, users will now have the ability to drag and drop new files into the Document Vault. We’ve also increased the subfolder limits so users can now create up to 10 sub folders. This new design creates the needed architecture to add Fidelity statements to our vault later this summer.
The transactions screen will now filter out any “Remark” (Placeholder) transactions and will also only display transactions that are in a completed status.
Orion Trading screens are now available in the new Client Portal. Advisors now have the ability to display the allocations, trades, and confirmations screens to clients.
Orion linked accounts will now sync the custodian name as it appears in Orion Connect into the financial institution field in Orion Planning. For accounts with DST, DTCC, Fund Direct, Byall or Quovo listed as the custodian in Orion Connect we will now bring over the fund family field from Orion Connect to make it easier for clients to identify the financial institution their accounts are held at.
Orion welcomes new strategies to Communities, our robust model marketplace. Here’s the list of who has recently joined the platform:
- Schwab Asset Management
- Putnam Investments
Learn more about these strategists on our Communities Corner.
We have added the ability to generate rebalances and cash needs trades directly in the tactical tool. These can stack on top of trades already created, or can initiate the first trade for that portfolio that day. They also can be modified after the trades are suggested prior to saving them to the orders grid.
Eclipse will now allow you to set negative set aside cash. This can be used in Eclipse to spend more cash than is truly available in the account. Scenarios would be a contribution transaction that is at the custodian but not yet in Eclipse, or if a margin balance is targeted in Eclipse.
Users can now run a focused rebalance in Eclipse based on a sleeved model, allowing you to rebalance one sleeve, or a group of sleeves, without rebalancing the rest of the sleeves in the portfolio.
Eclipse will no longer reverse sync the .e for models. If there is already a model in Orion Connect with the same name, then the .e will be added to the end in order to avoid two models with the same name. If users want to see which models were created in Eclipse, they can use the Eclipse Model ID column on the model aggregate grid.
You can now edit the status of a rejected mutual fund manually to filled. This is to help users who contact the custodian and manually place a rejected order, but want the pending trade to show back up in Eclipse.
Each client you access in the Portfolio View will now have a unique URL associated. This means that when you open additional client tabs, the adjustments you have made to the tab you were previously on will stick for that session.
When there is no data to display on a card for a given time period, we will now display an icon with the message “No data to display”. This will better help our users determine if there is an issue with the card or if there is truly no data returning for the given timeframe.
We have removed _hist accounts from the AUM Summary card on the Homepage Dashboard. These accounts can often inflate the AUM for a firm and should either be brought to zero and linked to a live downloading account or cancelled in the Orion system after a historical conversion.
This new tag will allow users to show when an entity has closed out within Orion. For instance if you held Apple until the first of the year and included this tag in a product level grouping table the Apple position would show a group close date of 1/1/2021.
This new tag will help calculate the contribution an individual asset had to the overall return for an account within a given period. This is based on the assets daily performance value and weight within the account.
More detail can be found in the “Contribution to Return Calculation” Support article.
This new tag will pull in recallable distribution amounts from our Account Composer app of Orion Connect.
We have streamlined functionality between our table types by bringing the other % functionality into our Column Grouping tables. Prior to this development, other % functionality only existed in standard grouping tables and charts. Now you can set a limit or threshold in Column Grouping tables as well.
We’ve added the ability for PDFs to exist in the system as a sub-report, creating increased efficiencies when it comes to managing supplemental communication within reports.
As part of our continued improvements to system responsiveness, sub-reports will now load more quickly.
We have also adjusted our default sub-report type to dynamic instead of static. Dynamic sub-reports can be pulled into multiple reports in the system and updated at a single point in the system – where static type sub-reports (if included in multiple reports) would have to be edited in each individual report.
This update gives the advisor the ability to set the number of days before and after the trade for front running monitoring.
Advisors can now assign First Party or Third Party Custody en masse, as it relates to question 9 (custody) of their ADV filing with the updated Custom Import, (Account Update – 13f/ADV)
