New Campaign: Social Security Savvy

Social Security can be confusing. With different ages for eligibility, full retirement, and benefit max out, specific rules about working while receiving benefits, and special situations like divorce or death of a spouse, people can easily make mistakes when it comes to maximizing their benefits. Working with a financial professional will help ensure your clients get the most from their Social Security benefits. Remember, there’s no such thing as too much money, especially when it comes to retirement.

How to get there: Orion Connect > Marketor > Promoting Financial Literacy Tab > Social Security Savvy

Deleted Sleeve Asset Movement Update

We have added the ability to pick which sleeve assets will move into when you cancel a sleeve.  You can either move the assets into one other sleeve, or allow the system to move the assets using the default method.  We have also updated the default method to move cash to the most underweight sleeve, rather than pro-rata.  This allows sleeves to get closer to target on initial sleeving.

How to get there: Orion Connect > Portfolio Audit > Registration > Sleeve Setup > Delete a sleeve > Process > See the model dropdown list
Sleeve Strategy Rebalance Level

We have added the ability to rebalance at the sleeve strategy level in Eclipse.  This means that a portfolio will only rebalance until the sleeve strategies are in tolerance, rather than rebalancing until every sleeve is in tolerance.

Integrations

Salesforce Financial Planning Sync

The financial planning sync allows firms to sync data from Orion Planning to Salesforce. Actions, goals, and plan information in Orion Planning can now be mapped and are viewable at a household level without the need to navigate away from Salesforce to Orion Planning.

Admin users will need to edit the page layout to include the new “Goals” object that is automatically included in our Salesforce package. Once the fields are mapped on the mapping setup screen, the object will populate with the planning information that was previously only accessible within the Orion app.

For more information on how to implement the Financial Planning Sync, please contact Orion’s Salesforce Integration support team.

Data Reconcilation

Last Reconciled Date

We are releasing notifications in Portfolio Audit to allow visibility as to whether an account is in balance.   Two fields have been added to the account grid to show the most recent position file received for an account, and a flag to indicate whether all assets in the account are in balance with those most recent positions received.  In addition, indicators next to the tree icons in the Portfolio tree will present warning notifications for any accounts that are not in balance (yellow triangle), or for any accounts where the balance has not been verified as of the most recent business date (uncolored triangle).  Those flags carry up to the registration, portfolio group, and household level to notify if any accounts within that group carry a warning message.
