Eric Clarke
Chief Executive Officer

Eric Clarke serves as chief executive officer for Orion Advisor Solutions (Orion), helping advisory professionals operationalize their vision for success by delivering cutting-edge financial technology and investment management solutions through the organization’s brand entities: Orion Advisor Tech, Orion Portfolio Solutions, CLS Investments, and Brinker Capital Investments. Prior to his current role, Eric was the founding CEO of Orion Advisor Tech, which he continues to lead, and previously served as COO for CLS Investments. As an industry-recognized thought leader and advocate for advisory professionals, Eric has written numerous articles that have appeared in InvestmentsNews and The Journal of Financial Planning. Eric has received numerous industry awards including ThinkAdvisor’s IA25 in 2012 and 2019, and InvestmentsNews’ Icon & Innovators Award in 2019.

Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah. As an avid runner, Eric uses the solitude of his runs to think through business strategies and plan new scenarios to help advisors increase functional efficiencies and improve their businesses.

Noreen D. Beaman
President

Noreen D. Beaman is the president of Orion Advisor Solutions and a member of Orion’s board of directors. Prior to her current role, Noreen was CEO at Brinker Capital where she helped advisors and their clients build better outcomes for over 30 years. Noreen has received numerous accolades for her lasting impact on the financial advice industry include Philadelphia Business Journal’s Most Admired CEO, InvestmentNews’ 2017 Women to Watch, and Greater Philadelphia’s Entrepreneur of the Year, alongside Chuck Widger in the financial services category by EY.

Noreen received her Bachelor of Science from Saint Peter’s University. She earned the CPA designation in New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. As an industry leader, Noreen is passionate about supporting culture, women, and diversity in the workplace. She is a mentor for the Money Management Institute’s Leadership Pathway, which connects members of the next generation with industry veterans to further enhance the mentee’s knowledge and insights surrounding the investment advisory industry. Noreen is an active contributor and frequently participates in panels to discuss the importance of women and greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in wealth management.

Daniel Applegarth
Chief Financial Officer

Daniel Applegarth is the chief financial officer of Orion Advisor Solutions and is responsible for the financial operations of Orion Advisor Tech, Orion Portfolio Solutions, CLS Investments, and Brinker Capital Investments. Prior to joining the company in 2006, Daniel worked as an auditor for Ernst and Young in Seattle, where he obtained his CPA license. Daniel graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and later received his Master of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Mustapha Baassiri
Chief Product and Technology Officer

Mustapha Baassiri is the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Orion Advisor Solutions. He has spent his career building and delivering software for the financial industry. Starting as a software engineer, Mustapha worked at various global financial institutions in Paris, London, and New York, implementing capital market risk and portfolio management solutions. In 2012, he co-founded Advizr, a leading financial planning software solution for wealth managers, which was acquired by Orion in 2019. Mustapha has a graduate degree in engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.

Kylee Beach
General Counsel

Kylee Beach serves as general counsel for Orion Advisor Solutions, where she oversees various legal matters affecting Orion and its brand entities including, contracts, intellectual property, and other corporate matters. Kylee also supervises the risk and compliance teams and serves as the Chair of the Executive Risk Committee.

Since joining Orion in 2011, Kylee has held numerous positions including Chief Compliance Officer for Orion’s affiliate, CLS Investments, LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser. Prior to joining Orion, Kylee was a private practice attorney who represented numerous issuers before the SEC on issues including initial public stock offerings, registration of investment advisers, and ongoing reporting obligations.

Kylee received her J.D., with high distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University with the highest distinction.

Ryan Beach
Chief of Staff

Ryan Beach serves as Chief of Staff at Orion Advisor Solutions, where he oversees the implementation and execution of business operations across the company. As a member of the Office of the CEO, Ryan also builds strategy along with the other members of the Office of the CEO and is also responsible for all M&A activities at Orion. Ryan is dedicated to creating solutions for complex problems, and advocates for a great experience across Orion for clients as well as employees.

Prior to joining Orion, Ryan served as an attorney for a law firm specializing in SEC matters. In 2011, he joined Orion’s legal department and became president of CLS Investments the following year. He has since held several leadership roles across Orion, including CEO of CLS, CEO of Constellation Trust Company, and president of Orion Portfolio Solutions. Ryan’s legal background provided him with a unique perspective to tackle issues in the highly regulated financial industry.

Ryan is passionate about helping advisors guide their clients to achieve their long-term financial goals. He embraces the fiduciary business model and loves being part of a company that strives to give more to its clients than it takes.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, a Juris Doctorate earned with distinction, as well as FINRA Series 65 license.

Steve DeAngelis
Chief Revenue Officer

Steve DeAngelis is the Chief Revenue Officer at Orion Advisor Solutions. In this role, Steve provides strategic direction and overall leadership for the sales functions across the firm to drive revenue, profits, and talent development. He is also chair of Orion’s Growth Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. Steve brings over 29 years of experience in financial services, both as a sales leader and business builder.

Prior to joining Orion, Steve was Senior Managing Director and Head of Distribution at FS Investments, where he served on the firm’s Executive Committee and as President of FS Investment Solutions, FS Investments’ wholly owned broker-dealer subsidiary. Steve was also Managing Director, Head of U.S. Advisor Solutions Group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he led the distribution of all products and services to home offices, registered investment advisors, regional and national wirehouses, and independent broker-dealers. Before Goldman Sachs, he co-founded and served as President of ADVISORport, Inc., the industry’s first web-based platform for delivering customized managed account services to broker-dealers, banks, and third-party RIAs. He also held several senior positions at Delaware Capital Management after starting his career at Brinker Capital, Inc.

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Steve has served as an adjunct professor at Villanova and Drexel Universities. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Philadelphia Financial Scholars, a non-profit dedicated to delivering financial literacy and entrepreneurship education to high school students, teachers and families in underserved communities.

Randy Lambert
Chief Operations Officer

Randy Lambert is the chief operations officer of Orion Advisor Solutions, where he is responsible for the operational services delivered to clients. Randy has been with Orion since its inception and has played an integral role in the company’s growth. He’s overseen the development of the industry-changing technology and has driven the implementation of service solutions to ensure Orion’s staff is prepared to support the advisors value proposition. Orion’s operations team is committed to supporting the mission of powering the advisor-client journey through a tech-enabled fiduciary process.

Randy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance from Creighton University, and is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration from Regis University

Brendan McConnell
EVP, Enterprise and TAMP Products

Brendan McConnell is EVP, Enterprise and TAMP Products at Orion Advisor Solutions, where he is responsible for strategy and oversight for Orion’s enterprise and TAMP products and client experience. Previously, Brendan was chief operating officer at Brinker Capital where he was responsible for company strategy and oversight of the operations, service, and technology groups. Brendan has extensive experience building, integrating, and enhancing operational, service, and technology platforms. He has driven a strong track record of results, execution excellence, and improved efficiency while enhancing the advisor-client experience.

Brendan earned his Bachelor of Science from Saint Joseph’s University and Master of Business Administration from Drexel University. Additionally, he holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses.

Jason Moore
Chief Solutions Officer

Jason Moore is the chief solutions officer at Orion Advisor Solutions. In this role, Jason is primarily responsible for the oversight of investments, management of investment product solutions, and investment product development for both Orion Portfolio Solutions and Brinker Capital Investments. Additionally, Jason serves as president of the Brinker Capital Destinations Funds providing ongoing management and oversight of the mutual fund complex. Jason has over 25 years of investment advisory experience.

Prior to joining Orion, Jason served as chief solutions officer at Brinker Capital where he was primarily responsible for Brinker Capital’s Wealth Advisory business, management and development of investment product solutions, and portfolio implementation. Jason was also a managing director and head of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Consulting Group, where he led the industry’s largest advisory fee based platform with focuses on business strategy, management of investment products, risk oversight, and sales distribution. While at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Jason held other roles that included product and investment management responsibilities and was tasked with leading the development of its unified managed account offering. Additionally, Jason was a managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he oversaw their unified managed account, separately managed account, and mutual fund advisory businesses.

Jason received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Delaware. He holds his FINRA Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses.

Trent Mumma
EVP, Tech Products

Trent Mumma is EVP, Tech Products at Orion Advisor Solutions. In this role, Trent is responsible for overseeing Orion’s strategy for delivering an innovative advisor and client experience.

Trent started at Orion in 2010 as the first member of the trading team. Since then, he has made it his mission to solidify and enhance Orion’s platform. Trent is dedicated to ensuring Orion is tuned into advisors’ needs and providing them with constant innovations and the necessary tools to win.

Julie Lane
Chief Human Resources Officer

Julie Lane currently serves as Chief Human Resources Officer. She has been an HR leader in numerous industries including: retail, packaging and technology in start-up, private-equity portfolio and public business settings. She holds the professional human resources certifications of SPHR and SHRM – SCP. Julie earned her MBA from Bellevue University.

Brad Shepard
Chief Strategy Officer

Brad Shepard is the Chief Strategy Officer at Orion Advisor Solutions. In this role, Brad brings innovative thinking to Orion’s go-to-market strategy to build stronger connections between users of Orion’s technology and TAMP offerings. He is also chair of Orion’s Product Committee and a member of the Executive and Growth Committees. Brad has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Orion, Brad was the Head of Innovation at WisdomTree Asset Management, where he played an integral role in developing WisdomTree’s leading solutions, models, and ESG offerings. Brad was also Chief Executive Officer of Kredible before it was acquired by WisdomTree in 2017. Kredible was a technology-enabled, practice management offering to help financial advisors thrive in the digital world. Before Kredible, Brad spent over a decade in management consulting with Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young, and a firm he founded Innovar.

Brad earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Business Administration in Information Systems Management from Tennessee Technological University.

Jonathan R. Baum
Executive Chair of the Board

In 2013, Jonathan retired as Chairman and CEO of both The Dreyfus Corporation—a subsidiary of BNY Mellon—and Mellon Bank Securities Corporation. Having served as a C-suite executive for a number of financial institutions, including Scudder Investments and UBS PaineWebber, he brings the leadership and experience of a long and accomplished career to his role as Executive Chair of the Board. Jonathan holds a B.A. from Bucknell University.

M. Roy Burns
Managing Director, TA Associates

Roy helps lead TA’s investments in financial services markets, previously working in Equity Investments at Davidson Kempner Partners and High Yield and Leveraged Finance at Banc of America Securities. Roy holds a B.S. from Washington and Lee University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Todd Crockett
Managing Director and Co-Head of Services Group, TA Associates

Todd is co-head of the North America Services Group and focuses primarily on investments in financial and tech-enabled services companies, and serves on the Board of Directors of DiscoverOrg, Evanston Capital Management, Orion Advisor Solutions, Procare Software, and Russell Investments. Todd received a B.A. in politics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Lori Hardwick
Board Member

Lori is a member of Genstar Capital’s Strategic Advisory Board and advises the firm in the financial services industry. She brings more than 25 years of experience of working in the financial industry as a prominent voice and is known for her intense passion for continuous improvement in the financial advisory industry. As CEO of WealthTech at RedRock Strategic Partners LLC, Lori works directly with C-suite level executives at some of the largest financial services companies, to help them create, and execute against, winning growth strategies and to improve the overall experiences for advisors and their clients. She has expertise in investment, technology, distribution and advisory solutions and is a regular speaker at industry events. Lori received a BA from The Ohio State University and graduated from the Executive MBA Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Sid Ramakrishnan
Principal, Genstar Capital

At Genstar Capital, Sid helps to identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition and investment opportunities. He originally joined Genstar Capital in 2012 as an Associate and re-joined the firm in 2017. Prior to re-joining, Sid was Chief of Staff to the CEO at AssetMark (a former Genstar portfolio company) and led corporate strategy for the firm. Sid began his career as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley. Sid received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Tony Salewski
Managing Director, Genstar Capital

Tony helps to identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition and investment opportunities for Genstar Capital. Prior to joining Genstar Capital in 2007, Tony was the Chief of Staff at Barclays Global Investors (“BGI”), where he executed strategic initiatives for the Executive Committee. Prior to BGI, he was an Associate at Hellman & Friedman LLC, a private equity investment firm in San Francisco. He began his career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in New York. Tony holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

Sean Hollingshead
VP, Regional Sales
Northwest Region

Sean Hollingshead leads a team that works with Orion firms to demonstrate the value of add-on products, including Eclipse Trading, ASTRO, and Inform. He believes the best method of sales is to take an honest approach with advisors. He is dedicated to keeping the interests of Orion and advisors in mind when putting together deals.

Ashley Heinzman

Northwest Region

Ashley Heinzman is responsible for supporting advisors in Orion’s Northwest territory. She works with advisors during their initial review of Orion and coordinates the first steps for their due diligence process. Ashley also supports Orion’s V.P. of Business development by undertaking follow-up tasks related to advisors’ due diligence.

Joel Hurst
SVP, Regional Sales
Southeast Region

As Senior Vice President of Business Development at Orion, Joel Hurst works directly with advisory firms across the southeastern United States. He is dedicated to taking a consultative approach with new and prospective advisors.  Joel began his career at Orion in 2004 as an account manager, and he later took on the position of Institutional Service Manager before starting his current position. During his many years at the company, Joel is responsible for bringing hundreds of new firms to Orion along with millions in new revenue.

George Svagera

As Senior Vice President of Regional Sales at Orion, George Svagera is responsible for connecting with financial advisors across the southwestern United States. George is dedicated to truly understanding the unique needs of advisors and what they’re trying to accomplish with their technology. Ryan Donovan joined Orion in 2014 to establish a local presence in the Northeast. Ryan is a New York native and self proclaimed gastronomist who enjoys golf, travel and relaxing at home with his wife and kids.

George Svagera

Southwest Region

As Senior Vice President of Regional Sales at Orion, George Svagera is responsible for connecting with financial advisors across the southwestern United States. George is dedicated to truly understanding the unique needs of advisors and what they’re trying to accomplish with their technology. Paul Wick
VP, Regional Sales
Great Lakes Region

In his role as VP of Regional Sales, Paul Wick delivers the breadth of Orion’s technology solutions to advisory firms across the Midwest. When meeting with RIAs, Paul is dedicated to taking a truly consultative approach and understanding the unique needs of advisors to provide the best solutions for their business. Before beginning his career at Orion, Paul helped advisors grow their businesses with technology solutions at TD Ameritrade and later at Gemini Alternative Funds. His professional background has given Paul a unique perspective on finding and fulfilling the technology needs of advisors.

Ben Frantz
VP, Regional Sales
Central Region

As Vice President of Regional Sales at Orion, Ben Frantz is responsible for partnering with prospective firms across the south-central United States.

Before beginning his current role, Ben worked on the service side at Orion as an account manager, then moved to internal sales. Ben’s background gives him a unique perspective that allows him build relationships with prospective firms. He’s dedicated to taking a consultative approach to the sales process, by listening to firms and fully understanding their needs.

Joe Badalucco
Senior Business Development
Southeast Region

Joe Badalucco is responsible for many facets of Business Development in Orion’s Southeast territory. His primary focus is to speak with advisors and determine if Orion’s tech solutions are a good fit for their business, demonstrate Orion’s technology, and provide consultative answers throughout advisors’ due diligence process. He strives to help advisors achieve streamlined business practices through the added efficiency Orion can provide.

Josh Benson helps financial advisors streamline their processes, and he works to increase internal efficiencies by leveraging Orion’s portfolio management solutions. He has a proven track record at Orion of working closely with advisors to provide consultations, training sessions, and service.

Jina Horton
VP, Business Development
Mergers and Acquisitions

As Vice President of Business Development, Jina Horton helps advisors navigate the tech options available to them and provides a consultative approach to understanding advisors’ needs. Jina started with Orion within the service and operations teams. She enjoyed having genuine conversations with advisors who were considering partnering with Orion, and her top priority was making sure we were the right fit for their growing firm. This background has driven Jina’s dedication to offering guidance for advisors and helping them discover new efficiencies.

Phillip Colling
Senior Business Development
Northeast Region

Since 2015, Phillip has been helping advisors utilize the Orion platform in the ways that best suit their unique needs. Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, being active outdoors, and watching sports.

Breten Williams
Business Development
Great Lakes Region

Breten Williams works with prospective advisors throughout the Midwest to answer questions, host demos, and take care of various other requests. He also meets with current clients, regularly attends conferences to promote Orion, and helps to move the sales process forward.

 

Meghan Castinado
Business Development
Central Region

In her Business Development role at Orion, Meghan Castinado specializes in developing and executing strategies to increase awareness of Orion’s technology to advisory firms across her territory. She takes on a consultative approach to discover areas where advisors can streamline their business.

Meghan joined Orion in 2012 and has held various roles throughout the years – ranging from operations, sales and leadership. She currently holds the FINRA Series 65 license and is a member of the TeamMates Mentoring program along with the Greater Omaha Young Professionals.

Tyler Vacek
Senior Business Development
Southwest Region

In his Business Development role at Orion, Tyler Vacek works directly with financial advisors to promote the vast capabilities of Orion’s technology. He is responsible for moving opportunities through the business pipeline by demonstrating Orion’s tech tools to advisors and staying in frequent contact with prospective firms. Tyler is a big believer in working to understand each firms’ unique needs without wasting advisors’ valuable time.
